Returns and Guarantees


Hard Goods Returns – Hard goods may be returned for up to 30 days past the original purchase date. We reserve the right to refuse worn or damaged merchandise. We will accept any returns due to any manufacturer’s defects.

Live Plant Returns – Live plants may be returned up to three days after the original purchase date. All plant material must be in same condition as when purchased, subject to inspection and approval by a Niepagen’s team member. The original sales receipt must accompany the return! (No Exceptions)

All returns will be issued in the same manner as the original payment. Credit and debit card transactions will be returned to the same card, cash transactions will be handled with cash. Checks will be returned by check after being processed by the office and mailed to the customer. Any returns must be accompanied by the sales receipt.

Merchandise and Plant Holds

We will place a three day hold on merchandise or plants at customer’s request. If the products are not paid for, we will return them to the sales floor at the end of the third day.

If merchandise has been paid for in advance, we will hold up to ten days. If not picked up, the customer will receive a reminder phone call once. There will be a $5.00 service charge per day until the product is picked up after the initial ten days.

Plant Guarantee

Dead or Damaged plants – Our live plants are not guaranteed except for trees, shrubs, and roses (see Tree, Shrub, and Rose Guarantee below). However, we want all our customers to have success with our plants. If you are having trouble with any of our plants, please contact us so we can give assistance in nursing these plants back to health.

Tree, Shrub, and Rose Guarantee – Wendell Niepagen Greenhouses strives to provide our customers with the highest quality plants. Store credit will be issued for trees, shrubs, evergreens, and roses that fail to survive one year (12 months) from the date of purchase. Customer must bring to Niepagen’s the plant, its tag, and receipt. Store credit will be issued in the amount of the purchase price. The store credit can be used for the same plant, subject to availability, or another plant entirely. No refunds will be given. Replacement plants carry no further warranty. Plant failure must be reported within the warranty period and plant must be returned with receipt and tag. Replacement price difference may occur and is the responsibility of the customer.

Plants that have not been properly cared for will not be replaced. We reserve the right to refuse any returns or guarantees based upon condition of the product(s).
